House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) delivered a 658-page report on the impeachment process so far. According to Nadler, President Trump abused his office by asking Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 presidential election. There are no new allegations in the report. Based on a whistleblower complaint, Democrats allege that the president sought a quid pro quo deal with Ukraine — trading US military aid for a corruption investigation against Joe Biden’s son.
While the report mostly consists of a summation of the Democrat case against Trump, it includes a dissenting opinion from the GOP minority on the committee written by Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA). That opinion states the case for impeachment is “not only weak but dangerously lowers the bar for future impeachments.”
