(NewsReady.com) – The battle over President Donald Trump’s tax returns took a turn recently. On August 20, we told you about a US district court ruling the commander-in-chief had to comply with subpoenas from NY prosecutors. Now, that decision may be meaningless.
On August 24, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance decided he was going to delay the enforcement of the subpoena against the president’s accounting firm, Mazars USA, for eight years of financial records. The decision came after the top prosecutor in the Big Apple made a deal with Trump’s lawyers.
Why is Vance agreeing to delay? It seems to be only until appellate court can again rule on Sept. 1 only days away, but still WHY?

President Trump now has more time to fight to keep his financial records sealed. The commander-in-chief has maintained NY prosecutors are just continuing the witch-hunt for the Democratic Party. On August 3, he said it was a result of the Left’s failure to find him guilty of anything.
Trump may have won this battle for now, but the war is not over. On September 1, the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals will hear arguments in the case. The president has already said he expects it to go to the Supreme Court.
