(NewsReady.com) – On August 28, 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed two people during the riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He is currently facing murder charges as a result of the incident but has maintained he was defending himself. Newly released footage from that night might be exactly what he needs to support his defense.
On Tuesday, September 22, Tucker Carlson showed some never-before-seen video from that night’s shooting. The footage appears to show one of the deceased victims, Joseph Rosenbaum, chasing Rittenhouse after the teen tried to put out a fire he allegedly started.
WARNING: The video content below might be too intense for some people.
A nonprofit organization connected to Rittenhouse’s attorneys sent the video to Carlson. His lawyers have said he was just protecting himself from violent rioters. The footage appears to support that claim.
So, why is Rittenhouse still sitting in jail? Should he have allowed a man to attack him, or taken a beating from a mob of protesters? A jury is going to decide his fate, but one has to wonder if he should have been arrested at all.
