Twitter CFO Confirms the Worst About Trump's Future on Its Platform

(NewsReady.com) – Twitter repeatedly targeted then-President Donald Trump in the months leading up to the 2020 election. Then, when the race was over and the American people were trying to figure out what happened, the social media platform banned him while he was the sitting president. Now, the company has finally said whether or not he will be back on the site.

During a February 10 CNBC interview, Chief Financial Officer Ned Segal said the Twitter ban is forever. He said it doesn’t matter if Trump is in office again, he still won’t be allowed back on the platform.

Segal said Twitter’s policies are designed to make sure someone can’t incite violence, but when Democrats attack Republicans they’re often left alone. For instance:

  • Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) accused Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) of trying to have her killed, which could cause people to retaliate against him
  • Comedian Kathy Griffin held up a mock severed head of Donald Trump
  • Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) made disparaging comments about Jewish people

The list goes on, and they’re all still on the platform.

Yet, Trump is now banned from the platform forever. This is why Republicans are calling for change. The bias is clear.
