(NewsReady.com) – On August 15, President Donald Trump’s brother, Robert, passed away at the age of 71. The commander-in-chief released a heartfelt message, calling his sibling his “best friend” and expressing his love for him. For the most part, media outlets reported the news with the respect expected during a time like this. Then, there was the Washington Post (WaPo).
The WaPo ran an obituary with the following headline: “Robert Trump, younger brother of President Trump who filed lawsuit against niece, dies at 71.”
Apparently, the newspaper thought Robert’s family troubles were super relevant to his death. As if that’s the most important decision he ever made. Never mind the fact that his niece wrote a tell-all book and disparaged the family.
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) expressed disgust with the headline.
This headline, on an “obituary” no less, is sick. WaPo should be ashamed of itself.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (R) spoke out against it, too.
The mental sickness which is running through the Washington Post emerged again in the headline of their obituary of President Trump’s brother. The depth of venom is astonishing.

Benny Johnson, the chief creative officer for Turning Point USA, illustrated the difference in the way the WaPo treated an ISIS leader to the treatment of Robert Trump.
The Washington Post couldn’t put politics aside for one night.

The Daily Caller noticed the dueling coverage, as well.
The WaPo once again proved itself to be a partisan dumpster fire of a news organization. The fact that they thought Robert’s 71 years should be summed up by one court case was vile. As if the entirety of his life didn’t matter, just that one suit did. It’s one of the more shocking headlines they’ve run and that says a lot.
Hopefully, the president was able to ignore that and mourn peacefully.
