President Trump was acquitted of all impeachment charges on February 5th.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi has allegedly said she will begin attacking the president’s economy.
Some Democrats have not ruled out another impeachment.
Senator Chuck Schumer has called the impeachment a positive for Democrats.
(NewsReady.com) – President Donald Trump has been really busy running the country lately. He’s signing trade agreements and building the border wall. Things are good — and the Democratic Party is not happy about it. That’s not hyperbole, either. Some lawmakers in the Left are already calling for more investigations into the president’s administration and the impeachment trial just ended.
Roger Stone Drama
Recently, prosecutors with the Department of Justice recommended a very long sentence for former Trump adviser Roger Stone. He was found guilty last year for obstructing the Russia investigation and lying to Congress. The prosecution asked the court to sentence him seven to nine years for the crimes.
Attorney General William Barr did not agree with his prosecutors’ suggestion. An official with the department said they were “shocked” to see how long the recommended sentence was. They claimed they hadn’t been consulted and found it “extreme and excessive and grossly disproportionate to Stone’s offenses.” The official said the department would clarify the recommendation later.
As a result, the four prosecutors resigned from Stone’s case and one of them resigned from the DOJ completely.
Democrats immediately started calling foul and blaming the president’s tweets for the shift. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) called on Barr to resign. He also said the president is interfering with the DOJ again.
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) was asked if the party was going to investigate and he said he wasn’t taking it off the table. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) tweeted:
Let me be clear: William Barr never should have been confirmed as Attorney General in the first place. I voted no on his confirmation because Barr has always been more interested in serving President Trump than our country. pic.twitter.com/oXoTkU0eQF

Will They or Won’t They?
The big question now is whether or not the Democratic Party is going to try to impeach the president again.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has said the impeachment was “positive” for the Democratic Party. He claimed Republicans are having all of the problems.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is still investigating the president’s businesses with no sign of slowing down. If you recall he was instrumental in moving the impeachment trial forward. In December, House Counsel Douglas Letter told a federal court that the president might be impeached twice because of obstruction. Rep. Al Green (D-TX) has also said that the House will bring more charges if they see fit.
Pelosi wants Trump’s attorney general investigated:
By tweet @realDonaldTrump engaged in political interference in the sentencing of Roger Stone. It is outrageous that DOJ has deeply damaged the rule of law by withdrawing its recommendation. Stepping down of prosecutors should be commended & actions of DOJ should be investigated.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) also indicated that the party may continue “impeachment activities” later this year.
Meanwhile, the president is trying to run the country and keep it on the right track. It remains to be seen whether the House is going to let him do that.
