(NewsReady.com) – Trusting someone else with their babies is the hardest thing for any mother and father to do. When parents send their children to daycare, there’s an expectation that their kids will be safe. Sadly, that’s not always the case, and a Michigan woman has just lost her license because of the way she treated children in her care.

According to the New York Post, state regulators stripped Kathleen Mayhue-Radeback of her childcare license. The woman ran an at-home daycare center at her Garden City home, but she allowed at least one child in her care to be abused. One of the kids she was watching reportedly put another child into a clothes dryer and turned it on. The incident happened on August 4 of this year.
The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs revealed the child admitted to a social worker and a nurse that she put the other kid into the machine. The victim told their mother the dryer was “hot and it was dark” and hurt her back.
The abused child said Mayhue-Radeback pulled her out of the dryer before she was seriously hurt, but she didn’t tell the parents about the incident. When the case was investigated, the daycare provider lied and said it didn’t happen. Her license was suspended as of November 3.
