(NewsReady.com) – Woody Harrelson and Ted Danson starred alongside one another on the NBC sitcom “Cheers.” The two have also launched the “Where Everybody Knows Your Name” podcast together. Harrelson recently revealed he was involved in a motorcycle accident and his friend treated his injuries.
Harrelson and Danson appeared on the “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” podcast and discussed the accident. According to Harrelson, he was riding his motorcycle on the way to record the podcast with O’Brien. He said he was passing a Tesla on the left because he thought the car was going too slowly. The “True Detective” actor said he suddenly realized the driver was going slow because they wanted to make a left turn.
The actor said he tumbled over the handlebars of the bike he was on and hurt his wrist. O’Brien remarked that Harrelson’s hand was “wrapped up like somebody in a cartoon.” Danson interjected, saying his friend’s wrist looked that way because he wrapped it.
Harrelson said that he was in the bathroom with Danson and asked, “You played a doctor, right?” His friend played a physician on the show “The Doctors.” Danson said that he
“also played a lawyer, so [they] can sue” the Tesla driver.
All jokes aside, Danson said the accident could have been much worse.
Danson is right to worry. In March, actor Chance Perdomo, from the “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” died in a motorcycle accident at the age of 27. Last year, actor Treat Williams, known for his five decades of work, also died in a motorcycle accident. The actor was riding in Vermont when a man turned left and killed the actor. The other driver, 35-year-old Ryan Koss, was later charged by law enforcement for causing the June 12, 2023, accident.
Harrelson said that he never considered that he could be killed or anything on a bike before he had the accident.
