This Company Is Offering a New Job Most People Don’t Even Know Exists
(NewsReady.com) – The 1971 film “Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory” made millions of kids fantasize about working in a candy factory. Imagine tasting sweet treats every day and earning a living in the process. A Canadian Company is hiring someone to do exactly that.
Candy Funhouse is hiring a chief candy officer for a cool $100,000 CAD (or $78,849 USD) annual salary. According to a job description on the company’s website, the candidate for the job can live in Newark, New Jersey, if they live in America. They will be in charge of approving all of the treats the company sells; that means they will be responsible for sampling more than 3,500 pieces of the confectionaries per month, or 175 per day (excluding weekends). Additionally, the job requires the new hire to lead candy board meetings, handle its “FUNhouse” strategy, and give an opinion on what treats will go to market.

A company press release states, “the position isn’t bound by age!” Applicants can be as young as 5. They just need a “passion for candy, pop culture, and a sweet tooth.” CEO Jamal Hejazi said the company is “all about FUN,” and whoever is hired for the job will be in “for the ride of their lives.”
Applicants have until August 31 to apply, and thousands of people have already thrown their names in the pool.
