Eldest Son Of Lauren Boebert Stands Accused Of 22 Crimes

(NewsReady.com) – Rep. Lauren Boebert’s (R-CO) family has experienced a lot of upheaval over the last year. The congresswoman divorced her longtime husband and had to take a protective order out on him. Police have now arrested her oldest son for allegedly committing multiple crimes.

The Rifle Police Department recently announced that officers arrested 18-year-old Tyler Jay Boebert on February 27. The department released a statement on social media saying the congresswoman’s son allegedly participated in a string of thefts and vehicle break-ins. Wallets, a social security card, jewelry, money, and other items were reportedly stolen.

Boebert was reportedly seen with a group of people at a Love’s gas station in Parachute when a victim’s credit card was used. The teen was wearing a hoodie from his mom’s former restaurant, Shooters Bar and Grill. Police officers recognized the lawmaker’s son from previous run-ins with him.

The stolen cards were used at McDonald’s, Starbucks, Shein.com, and other places. The group was reportedly in the areas where the thefts occurred. Boebert told police that they were all riding in his Ford F-250 truck. The vehicle matched the one seen on surveillance videos at the time of the thefts.

Boebert is facing four felony counts of criminal possession of ID documents for multiple victims, 15 misdemeanors and petty offenses, and one felony for conspiracy to commit a felony. He was released on his own recognizance, despite an appeal from 9th Judicial District Deputy District Attorney Tony Hershey, who pointed out that he had failed to appear for a court hearing last year.

Rep. Boebert released a statement to the press, saying she was standing by her son. However, she said he has been through very rough times in the last few years, and he’s been “the subject of attention that he didn’t ask for.” Still, the Republican lawmaker asserted that he should be held accountable like any other person.
