(NewsReady.com) – The 2024 election is just months away now, and it’s looking more and more like it’ll be a rematch of 2020. President Joe Biden is likely to face off against former commander-in-chief Donald Trump, and there are concerns in regards to both prospective candidates. However, some have called Biden’s mental state into question as well as his age. Now, one doctor is saying he can’t hide the deficiencies for long.
Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD), who is an anesthesiologist, appeared on Newsmax’s “Sunday Report” with Jon Glasgow to discuss the upcoming election. Harris, who also belongs to the GOP Doctors Caucus, said the longer the campaign continues, the more apparent it will become that Biden’s cognitive state is on the decline. He says, “There is no way he gets through another four years,” without people realizing that he doesn’t have the capacity to “make the decisions you need a president to make,” and mentioned war-time decisions as an example. Harris continued, saying that when Biden ran for the 2020 election, his campaign team “kept him in the basement” so that the public couldn’t see his real mental state.
The representative went so far as to say other prominent members of the Democratic Party, such as former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, are concerned and will look to replace him on the ballot. Harris says this will likely happen before the August convention because, by that time, it will be too late for them to gain any real steam with a new candidate. He doesn’t think Biden will give up easily, though.
Harris isn’t the only one with concerns. Special Counsel Robert Hur recently issued his report on Biden’s handling of classified documents and left a scathing review of the president’s mental capacity. He even said that Biden could potentially paint himself sympathetically to the jury as a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
